11. Additional Information for Customers Subject to the GDPR or Similar Laws
For customers subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or data protection laws outside Japan, the following applies in addition to this Policy.
(1) Legal Bases for Processing
We primarily process your information on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract where necessary to provide the Services, such as responding to inquiries or providing account features.
- Your consent, such as for information you choose to provide voluntarily.
- Our legitimate interests, such as preventing misuse and ensuring security.
(2) Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
In addition to making a request to us under “8. Requests for Access, Correction, Deletion, and Other Rights” above, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in the country where you reside.
(3) Representative in the EU
Many of our products are designed without account registration or cloud synchronization and process customer information only on the customer’s device. For processing of this nature, we consider the exemption from the obligation to designate a representative under Article 27 of the GDPR to apply because the processing is non-repetitive and low risk. For products that involve cloud synchronization, account features, integration with external AI services, or similar processing, the applicable compliance status will be explained separately in the information provided for that product.
